Research Overview

PE22-28 (Spadin) is a short neuroactive heptapeptide derived from Peptide E, a cleavage product of the sortilin–propeptide pathway. In experimental neuroscience models it is used to investigate selective TrkB receptor activation, BDNF-mimetic signalling, hippocampal neurogenesis and modulation of neuronal survival pathways in vitro and in vivo, without implying any therapeutic application.
